My Name is Roxane.  My English Springers and I live in the great state of TEXAS.   Let me tell you about myself.  I have a degree in Animal Health Technology.  I spent over 10 yrs working in veterinary emergency medicine.  Then I worked side by side with a Veterinary Behaviorist, who was a Diplomat of the College of Veterinary Behavior.  I worked at North Carolina State University, College of Veterinary Medicine, Equine Research Center.  Then I moved to Texas.  I was a subsitute teacher for a while.  Then I began work on my CIS degree at the University.  Two years ago, I started a new career that I love.  One day, I will get back and finish my second degree.  Don't be surprised if its in Criminal Justice!  Now for my background in this fabulous breed.

I was introduced to English Springer Spaniels in
1987 while living in North Carolina.  Since then, I'm hooked on the breed and showing!   Through the years I've had many obstacles both in life and with this breed.   Through the years, I've met some great ESS people.  Most important, I've met some fantastic All Breed dog people.  I've learned so much from all of you.   Thank You.  Let me give you all quick synopsis of my past to understand my present.

People may wonder why I made the decision to import ESS from Scandinavia and England.  I've had too many heartbreaks with American show lines.  As an owner of show bred ESS and as a breeder of show bred ESS, I've experienced temperament problems, Epilepsy, hip dysplasia, RD and PRA.  I was devasted when my first champion developed Epilepsy.  I was completely torn when several dogs I placed into pet homes developed Epilepsy.  I experienced bad temperaments.  Sadly I produced bad temperaments from good tempered dogs.  Clearly the gene pool became too unpredictable FOR ME.  It was time to stop, take time to think, reevaluate and decide what I wanted to do.  Please this is not a slam to any one.  This is my life experience, which led me, to my dogs, today.

I moved back to  Texas.   I went out sparingly to shows.   Later, I became sick and stuck at home.  I surfed the internet.  I was intrigued with the consistent quality on Scandinavian ESS web sites.  I made contacts  via email with ESS breeders in USA, Finland, Sweden, England and Australia.

I journeyed to Sweden and England.  I met  many breeders at the Swedish National show.
I was fortunate to meet a select few English breeders in their homes in England.   I had the wonderful opportunity for hands on most of the dogs in my current pedigrees.  All outstanding dogs.  I want to thank everyone for taking the time with me and furthering my education in this breed.    I've learned so much since 2002.   The mere importance of breed type is the most  invaluable lesson to me.   Thank you!

While my imports quality may not be appreciated by most, they are by me!  I experienced a dream come true.   I have a solid foundation that is sane, sweet and healthy.  I'm so thrilled to share my home and my life with these dogs and their offspring.

I want to THANK the breeders who trusted me with their dogs:   Dr Tarja Hovila Adamant ESS Finland,  Annelie Karlsson  Linmoor ESS Sweden, Mia Humell Bogaloos ESS Finland and Glenn Miller  Graftonbury ESS  England.

As a side note:
I still have a deep appreciation for American bred ESS.   Always a fan!
I want to thank my friends who've supported my decisions and who truly understand.
LOVE TO YOU ALL!
